About
How Care in Movement started.
Care in Movement started with a simple observation: people often felt better when they started moving. Not just physically, but socially, emotionally and in everyday life.
In your element &
immersed in community.
Established to provide fitness, recreational and activity-based supports that offer holistic benefits, Care in Movement aims to improve our participants' physical health, emotional wellbeing and social inclusion. What ties us together is a belief that good support is active support.
Our care is highly personalised and built around real community experiences. Activities are adapted to suit each person's goals, interests, confidence, mobility and support needs. We prioritise relationships and trust, so support feels safe, enjoyable and meaningful.
Our experienced team, combining fitness trainers, health professionals and support workers, creates an empowering and safe environment for our participants. They are role models and mentors who aspire to help each person live their best possible life.
What we believe
Three principles.
- 01 Active
- We believe good support should involve doing, not just planning. Whether it's getting out, moving, learning, socialising or trying something new, we help participants build confidence through real experiences.
- 02 Empowering
- Participants lead the way. We bring options, encouragement and follow-through, while keeping choice and control with the person. Our goal is to build confidence, independence and self-belief.
- 03 Genuine
- Good support starts with trust. We take the time to understand each person, build real relationships and show up with consistency, care and respect.
Our Why
Why movement.
"Our logo represents two people reaching higher together. Achieving goals, building confidence, and living a fuller life."
The name is literal. Movement is where so much of our best support happens.
For us, movement is not just about exercise. It is about getting people involved in real experiences that build connection and independence naturally.
When someone is doing something they enjoy, support feels different. It becomes less about being helped and more about being involved.
That is why movement matters. It turns support into something capable of creating real change.
